10 Tips To Green Spring Cleaning By HWC Editor | Tip 1: When doing occasional mopping try filling a spray bottle with soap and water and spraying the floor with it before mopping. Not only will that save on water but it will keep longer than other cleaning solutions. Normal wet mopping should be done on occasion still and when floor is extremely dirty.
Tip 2: When trying to remove mold use one of the new natural or green mold control alternatives.
Tip 3: Use a vacuum with a bag and a hepa-filtration system. The bag will contain all the dust, dirt, fuzz and allergens you vacuum up and the hepa-filter will clean your air while you vacuum. So your home may actually be cleaner after you clean it.
Tip 4: Use soap and water the next time you clean your windows instead of expensive window cleaning solutions. Some experts even recommend this.
Tip 5: Clean your carpets thoroughly with a steam cleaner or use an organic carpet cleaning solution in your scrubber.

Tip 7: Vacuum all your air vents including you bathroom vents to keep your air cleaner and healthier.
Tip 8: Take your area rugs outside to scrub, vacuum or beat them. It keeps the dust and dirt outside and keeps the air in your home healthier.
Tip 9: Add a whole house water filter to your home and give your pipes and plumbing fixtures a spring cleaning.
